Welcome to the VOTO blog! If you’re here, you probably already know a bit about VOTO, but we’re here to fill you in on what’s up with our brand. From the who, to the how, to the why, we’ll give you the lay of the land right here, right now.


Who are your VOTO pros?

Simply put, we’re your go-to team of young, female entrepreneurs, with a combined 10 years of experience in product, marketing, and sales. Say hello to your VOTO founders, Ange Paye, Kyla Payette and Kajal Dattani . Based out of Calgary, we started building our social-change platform in February 2021 and launched just 8 months later, in October.


What started with our ambition to change the way consumers engage with their favourite brands quickly turned into our fully actualized passion project. Our goal is to build meaningful engagement between businesses, their communities, and their consumers.



We’ll tell you a bit about how it works.

Creatives, entrepreneurs, business owners, or anyone else that has a question they’d like to ask their audience before they launch a concept can:

  1. Hop on VOTO

  2. Create a ballot

  3. Add a pledge value

  4. Share it with their audience for their input!

Each time one of our Homies votes, a portion of their pledge is unlocked. Because every campaign is backed by a pledge to charity, each vote enables a donation. Leading research on micro-donation has found it to be one of the most effective ways to encourage every day giving and to keep customers engaged with organizations and their donation strategies!


We’ve coined our method an “EFG Formula.” What’s that? Engagement For Good. By combining research, marketing, and micro-donations, VOTO creates genuine and impactful engagement with each click (or tap!).


What’s happening today?

The VOTO alpha released on December 16th, 2021 – and we’re psyched about it. We believe in VOTO 100%, so we’re testing our alpha on ourselves. Leading by example has never felt so good.


Head on over to VOTO and let us know which of our logos you’re most into. Every time one of our Homies votes, we donate $1 to Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids, a non-profit that gives free lunches to students throughout Calgary. In just three weeks, we’ve been able to get 88 votes, which translates to $88 out of our $100 pledge to Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids.
